Our Mission

Carryon.com is the first non-profit focused on improving Internet safety for children by limiting access to potentially harmful Internet sites. We work directly with the Internet community, law enforcement agencies and the public to eliminate exploitative websites from circulation. Carryon.com is unique in its approach to improving Internet safety because it provides a federal tax deduction to domain owners in exchange for donating exploitative and unwanted domain names.

Because the Internet has proven to be an easy, inexpensive and widely used communication tool, online child pornography has become a growing problem. With more than 500,000 pornographic websites on the Internet, more than 60% of children say they have seen adult pictures online. According to Highlights of the Youth Internet Safety Survey conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice, “one in five children, between the ages of 10 to 17 years old, receive unwanted sexual solicitations online.”

Predators have become especially skillful at luring unsuspecting children whether it is through a misleading website targeting children or an interactive site or chat room. While more attention is being paid to this issue, more needs to be done to protect our children. That is why Carryon.com was founded: to help fight against the proliferation of online child pornography and sexual victimization of children.
